We are the ones who knock and lay to rest, We lie to rest and wonder aimlessly in the void, No sense of direction we march on. Our captain yelled “HALT”, and I stop, “BANG”! I see flashes through void.
It wasn’t long before we were mowed down, The agony! I scratch and claw, knowing my, fate I give up. I lay in a pit of flesh, mud, and blood of my brothers, We are the ones.
I fade in and out, with a face full of mud, Blood rushing out of my chest, I reminisce on, My brothers, my family will they know? Now I think upon, why did I do this? Is this all for a lie? I free my mind to rest, and march on with my brothers in eternity, We are the ones!
