Pumpkin Pie
Abigail Flury
The Thanksgiving of 2010 I was 7 years old I was so excited because my birthday was coming up it was 2 days after Thanksgiving and all my family was home. After Thanksgiving dinner it was always tradition in my family that all the November birthdays, or turkey babies as my grandma calls us, get the first pieces of pumpkin pie, so me and my cousins and uncle went up to get our piece of the pie and I was the first one I was so excited. After about 20 to 30 minutes me and my uncle went to get another piece because the pie was so delicious. As we went up to get our second piece my dad came running in and started frantically looking for something everyone was very confused by this. My mom asked him what was wrong and that is when he asked where the pumpkin pie was that was in the outside fridge. When we all said that we had already taken it out and eaten it, my dad started freaking out and laughing at the same time. My dad had put laxatives in the outside fridge pie and that he was taking it to work to prank his boss and we had just eaten it. I’ve never seen my mom and grandma so mad in my life. Everyone started to yell at my dad, and he was there just laughing. Because of this, I hate pumpkin pie and I have never eaten another pumpkin pie since then.
